I have done some reviews for some very talented authors/poets and I wanted to share them with everyone visiting my site. I hope that everyone will read my reviews and then read the books for yourselves. Enjoy. ~Leslie

I just finished reading 'Three Weeks Last Spring' by Victoria Howard. It is a well written, well rounded action/romance. The story never got boring, there were times I shouted "no", and times I cried. I loved it. I felt a part of the story and I couldn't get enough of it. I adored the characters in the story and found myself wanting more at the end. I hope that Ms. Howard will continue the story of Skye as she has potential to find more action and adventure in her line of work, as well as Walker.
I recommend this book to everyone who likes a good romance that has a lot of action mixed in.

I just finished reading “The Tears to Treasure,” by Vickie Suchy. After I was finished reading, the first thought that came to my mind was, “Wow!” I absolutely loved it. The journey of Amy was amazing and I cried right along with her. I was able to feel all the emotions as though I was living them. During Amy’s journey she receives these exquisite Tear Bottles without knowing whom they are from, I thought that I knew until I found out at the end and it was not who I was expecting.
I had never heard of Tear Bottles before and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about these bottles. After the story has ended Suchy gives us information on how she learned of the Tear Bottles and she also tells us what exactly a Tear Bottle is. She also lists a website where you can purchase Tear Bottles and I know I will be visiting it. I know someone right know that has an upcoming occasion that the gift of a Tear Bottle would be fitting.

John Thompson’s, ‘Black Petal Rose,’ was very interesting. This is what I call real poetry; it was not killed with proper grammar and punctuation. As I read each and every poem, I thought about the works of Edgar Allen Poe my all time favorite poet. To me Mr. Thompson has the same artistic mind as Poe, I like it. His words and the way they were written came across very powerful. There were a few that I was like what and had to read a few times over, but they just went so far over my head I could not grasp what they were saying.
My favorite poem was “The Entrance” because it really spoke to me and I could feel where Mr. Thompson was coming from. There are several others that I really liked as well, but that one just stood out more in my mind.
I think that if you like raw poetry than you will really enjoy this collection of poetry and if you get to one you don’t like keep reading because there will be more that you love.

“Moons, Dreams and Majical Things….” By Tonya Busbee is a very interesting read. I had to let the work set with me before I was able to write this. Some may think that is a bad thing but it isn’t. The poems that she writes make you think. You get a scence of who Tonya Busbee is, you learn about the people that she loves in a lot of the poems. Then there are the poems in which she is very imaginative. I find that it is not a book that you can read in one setting because you will miss something and you really need the pauses to ponder what the words are saying. I think that Ms. Busbee has a very unique way of writing and I enjoyed it.
