Words From The Heart

   Well I am still waiting for 'Michael the Monkey' to sale. I know that in this buisness you spend most of it waiting and I have found this to be so true. Several people have read my book and they all talk about how great it is. Then again they are family and well I guess they are suppose to say those things. I shouldn't rely on what they say about it. My agent told me that often times when you are writing a series that the 2nd or 3rd book will sale before the first one does, sounds kind of strange to me, but I guess it has been known to happen. Anyhow, I have written Anthony the Alligator, however I did not like the way it turned out so I have scrapped that one and I am rewriting it. I am also starting to think about what story I want to tell about Rachael the Rabbit. I just have so many ideas that it is kind of hard to choose one.

   I am also writing a romance novel, no title yet. But you can check out my blog over on MySpace as it is unfolding there.

   Well that pretty much sums this up. I have been doing a monthly newsletter, so sign up for my yahoo group to receive that. I hope everyone has a Blessed day.

When they tell you waiting is the hard part, they certainly are not lying. On the 13th hopefully I will hear something about the progress of my book 'Michael the Monkey'. My agent said that she would update every 30 days as to the progress to sale it. It seems to be taking forever but then again it hasn't been 30 days since it has been out there yet so I just have to keep the faith and keep on waiting.

Other than waiting I haven't been doing much in the form of writing. With the holidays coming up and lots of family issues I have been very busy.

We welcomed a new baby into the family. My sister in law had her first baby in October, check out my photo album to see a picture of her. My husbands aunt will be getting a liver transplant in December. My grandfather is in the hospital with fluid on his lungs. He is 83 and he has been talking about dyeing and his mind is going so we are preparing ourselves, knowing it is only a matter of  time. So a lot is going on around here.

Hopefully after the first of the year I will be able to spend more time writing and getting some books finished. I have so many ideas swimming in my head that I really need to write them down so that when I get the time to actually sit down and write they will be there to work off of.

Hello all, I hope this finds everyone well. I noticed I haven't updated in a while, so I wanted to share with everyone what has been going on in my world recently.

I have completed my first children's book called "Michael the Monkey." I am very excited as it is the first in a continuing series with new characters being introduced into each new book. They all will be named after my niece's and nephew's as well as my own beautiful little girl.

To get this book published I have acquired an agent. I had to have my work critiqued before I was assigned to an agent and the critique came back really good. I didn't think it would come back that good but then again I am my own worst critic.

So now I have been contacted by my agent and I can't wait to get with her for our first meeting it will be exciting to see what she does for me in getting my work and me out there. So stay tuned.

I am still working on my other works, I have more children's books, a couple of romances and a couple other books. I still haven't been able to get out there to promote my poetry book much but I have been doing some and my sister is going to help me out by going to bookstores for me and trying to get them to carry my books on the shelves.
